Beta Alpha Psi
Beta Alpha Psi is an accounting honor fraternity for business majors. It is intended to help accounting majors develop a professional self-image and learn more about the demands and career opportunities in the accounting profession.
Requirements
- Minimum Accounting GPA of 3.0
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0
- Upper division status
- Completion of Accounting 301
Purpose
As the premier professional accounting and business information society, Beta Alpha Psi recognizes academic excellence, complements members’ formal education by providing interaction between students, faculty, and professionals, and fosters lifelong growth, service, and ethical conduct.
Membership
A student is a pledge one semester before they are initiated into full membership. In order to pledge, students must be in an upper level accounting course, and have a 3.0 GPA in accounting courses and overall. In order to be initiated into membership, a student must be in upper level accounting courses, have completed 60 hours of course work, have a 3.0 GPA in accounting courses and overall, and have participated in Beta Alpha Psi professional and community activities during their pledge semester.

Institute of Management Accountants Student Chapter
The Institute of Management Accountants Student Chapter is a student organization comprised of business students who are interested in a career in the accounting or professional services fields. Our mission is to provide opportunities for our members to become more familiar with, and involved in, the world of accounting through professional and social events. Members of our IMA Student Chapter have many opportunities to meet knowledgeable and enthusiastic accounting professionals from CPA firms, as well as corporations and government. Our members also have many opportunities to become involved in the community through many charitable events and activities. The many functions and events hosted by the IMA Student Chapter allow members to interact with other accounting and business students, faculty, and alumni to develop a network of information, knowledge and friendship.
Meetings
Pre-meeting socials are held at 5:30 p.m. in Moody Hall, Room 220, and then meetings are in Moody Hall, Room 103, at 6 p.m. Dress is business casual.
