Curriculum

Our accounting curriculum covers the basic framework of accounting practices, as well the as high-level specialized training that you need for your successful career as an accountant. We want you to graduate from UL Lafayette with the broad educational background that you need to thrive in today's business world, so you will take courses in other businesses areas, plus the arts, humanities, sciences, and communications.

Upon completing the 120-hour undergraduate curriculum, you will need an additional 25 hours to meet the 150 hours of education required to sit for the Certified Public Accountants Exam. You will possess the educational prerequisites to sit for the Certified Public Accounting Exam (CPA), as well as the Certified Management Accounting Exam (CMA) and the Certified Internal Auditor Exam (CIA).
